Can't see the image, so I'll post my own. First time offroad.

Was not intentional, I missed the turn and slid into it. Wasn't able to drive out of it either. Burned up the fan clutch, broke an aux.light when tow rope broke, and destroyed my ego.

It happened again. Long story short, I drove through some flood water that ended up being way deeper than I thought. It was up to my fender flares and coming over my hood, so I know the water was at least 40". Made it through and drove it home, but I would not do it again. I only have a 3" lift plus 2" body spacer and 32" tires. My pants were wet up to my knees.
And this was less than a week after getting caught in a bad storm. Needless to say, I'm getting very good at removing my carpet and cleaning the inside out. Maybe I'll start leaving the plugs out.

The picture came from my TV. The news was doing a story on a car that was stuck, and the driver was sitting on top of her car. I was too freaked out to stop and try to help her.

How did you not suck water in the intake???

Lucky, I guess. It does have a K&N CAI, maybe the filter helped. I think I was going just fast enough to push the water instead of letting it fill up the engine bay.

Lucky indeed, that looks like full on snorkle territory to me :stunned:

ugh, I hate having to clean mud out of everything! It always finds its way inside somehow though :(

After just one similar event, I went with a snokle on my YJ.

I'm now working on a way to go with a Hummer style snokle with a pre filter on my LJ. Just have to figure out hoe to do it.

Carpets were remove a month ago in my LJ, as soon as I got the time after winter and the floor will be herculinerd soon.

The electrique fan that upgraded the YJ will be going in the LJ very in the next few weeks with a on/off bypass switch.

And yes, the "right speed did savec your engin"

I decided to just pull everything out. Seats, seat belts, dash panels, etc. Had to clean the inside first, then put top & doors back on so I could clean the outside. Still working on the bottom side.

I've actually got my carpet out right now (again) after getting caught in some rain during a jeep poker run yesterday.
