spare tire?
Does anyone know why the spare tire is offset?
and
Is the third brake light bracket the same on all TJs, except for the Rubicon which seems to have a spacer piece added on underneath?

Which side is it offset to? If it is to the right side (passenger), I would guess it is because of viewing.

The spare tire is offset for the tailgate latch,the factory spare sits so close to the tailgate the latch handle would not clear the tire. The only reason for the spacers under the third brake light is to clear the larger tire on the Rubicon.Hope I have helped.
