Hard top hardware?
I recently took off my (non-factory) hardtop for the 1st time. In addition to the bolts, there were 4 white plastic clips. They were pushed up from under the lip into the top. I had to squeeze the prongs to push them out. Anybody know what I'm talking about and/or what they're for.

Those plastic clips help align the top to the tub and help hold it position while inserting the bolts.

yep, what he said, just allow you to set the top on the jeep and align the holes in the top with the holes in the bedrail. also ensures the proper width of of the hardtop mounting at the doors so the doors fit properly.

Re: Hard top hardware?
Thanks. Seemed like a bit of a hassle to get them out.
Wait a minute, I just realized they were supposed to stay on the top. Thats why the hole in the body is the way it is. The top wasn't lifting up and I thought it was because of those clips. Which is why I thought I had to pull them out from below. It was actually the foam that was really stuck to the body.
Whats the best setup for quick release knobs. The clamps look bulky, I was thinking about gluing some nuts on under the rail.

Re: Hard top hardware?
I just sourced some factory style rectangle threaded nuts that fit perfectly under the softop rail. I'll be offering them with a standard head bolt on the GR8TOPS site very soon. Just got our hands on them yesterday.
Will probably be around $9-$10 for a whole set including shipping. I'll post up some pictures as soon as we get some taken.
