Flat towing options?
Any reason why a tow bar couldn't be modified to hook up to some 1" shackle tabs? Assuming those tabs are well mounted.

It should be fine to tow these just as any other 4wd. Trans in gear (park or first) and transfercase in neutral

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Did you make those adapters? I was actually thinking about modifying the ends of the tow bar and skip the middle man.

These are not on my Jeep but like you I've wanted to do it this way. Always figured if these tabs (mine are angled and welded front and back) are strong enough to pull my Jeep out then they ought to be strong enough to tow.
