Definitely. I told my father in law that they were backwards on his TJ too. That jeep is so short you don't really notice. Kinda surprised nobody in my club said anything about them yet.

Big Brown Truck brought me some beadlocks!
now for the eternal, burning question...which tires?

Re: it's Elmo's world
Nice! Since you got beadlock, hope you go with some big agressiv tread, other wise, You've just put weight on your jeep to push/pull around!
Nice color by the way. I love black wheel!

Re: it's Elmo's world
yeah, I just don't know about tires. It's primarily a street Jeep but it's on rocks whenever I go offroad (not a fan of mud at all!). These wheels are definitely heavy SOB's. I've pretty much given up on ever being able to change a tire by myself. I changed someone else's tire out on a trail a couple of weeks back and couldn't lift the spare to get it on. Those were just plain black steelies and 33" Duratracs.
I probably don't really need beadlocks. A certain someone whom I live with talked me into them. If they're too much of a hassle for me to deal with we can put them on the almighty ZJ. I have yet to even air down the Hankook street tires I'm running now, LOL

so far my cat is not impressed with any of this. Everyone's a critic! he did thoroughly enjoy the empty boxes as I was taking the rings off to send to the powdercoater.

Somehow I forgot to mention that I installed the Teraflex BellyUp skid and transmission pan a few weeks back. They are heavy as all get out but I love the way everything flows together under there now. I went with Teraflex since I needed a belly pan anyway and the tranny pan was made to go between that specific belly pan and the oilpan skid I already had.

Re: it's Elmo's world
got my gr8Tops Exogate tire carrier installed this weekend. Had to adjust the length of the hinge spacers a little to fit with my corners, but it was a pretty straightforward install.
also installed a Rough Country tie rod and some new mirrors for my half doors, but didn't get pics. Kinda boring stuff anyway...

How do you like the taillights? I've been looking for a set and having the integrated reverse is nice.
On another note, instead of a pillow, we use a lumbar support (can be purchased at pepboys or online) for my wife and it works great, she insists on using it whenever she's in the Jeep, fits the seats pretty well too, Oh and I bought her a seated one for winter, and she REALLY loves that one! :)

Re: it's Elmo's world
I absolutely LOVE those taillights. I didn't wanna cut the armor and tub so I specifically got some that bolt to the outside. They're pretty bright, even during the day :)
They're Maxxima M85416R and I bought them on EBay. probably cheaper on Amazon, but I didn't know the specific model number to look up at the time.Last edited by EllJay05; 08-28-2015 at 01:48 PM.

I didn't mention that my wife uses the lumbar support to sit on (she's 5'1"). :)
Thanks for the part number!

Re: it's Elmo's world
Well the inside of the bead on one tire was damaged from de-mounting them from the PO's wheels. Of course being beadlocks I needed both sides to be good. I could turn the white letters inward and avoid this issue, but I really want the white sides out. Soooo.... now I'm headed to Firestone for two new tires. There goes my $200 inclement weather bonus I got for going to work yesterday...
But hey I guess I'll have one perfectly good used spare and one that will do fine if I just flip it around.

Re: it's Elmo's world
So, I guess I just spent 440 dollars just because I'm vain about the letters being out, LOL. And to think "some" girls would spend that much on purses and shoes, LOL
